Information Collection and Use

Direct Collection

In-app Analytics

The app can collect information about how you use the app. This may include your IP address, but this is not associated directly with the other data. This is only enabled after explicit consent. It can be enabled or disabled at any time from the settings screen.

Several companies process analytics for us:

Crash Reporting

If the application crashes, a report detailing the crash may be sent to us to help diagnose and fix the issue. Thie includes information about your device including manufacturer and model as well as the operating system version. This is only enabled after explicit consent. It can be enabled or disabled at any time from the settings screen.

If a crash is detected while crash reporting is disabled, we may explicitly ask at the point to send a crash report. Choosing to send a report affects only that crash. Crash reporting in general will still be disabled.

Visual Studio App Center process crash reports for us.

Advertising

Advertising is included in the app, provided by AdMob. This is only enabled after explicit consent for users believed to be within the EEA. It is enabled by default for other users. Ads are targeted using contextual information, including coarse (such as city-level) geo-targeting based on current location, and content within the app. Non-personalized ads don’t use mobile ad identifiers for ad targeting, but they do use mobile ad identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse.
